Plans & Quota Explained: What Counts, Limits, and Resets
How image outputs, video minutes, and data are counted on every plan — trial limits, warning thresholds, file-size caps, and monthly resets.
Aspectr tracks three quotas — image outputs, video minutes, and data processed — and every plan draws different limits around them. This guide explains exactly what counts, what each plan includes, when you get warned, and when everything resets. Prices live on the pricing page; this article is about the mechanics.
What counts toward quota
- Image outputs — each generated format counts as one. Upload 1 photo and export to 5 ad sizes = 5 images used. Uploads themselves never count.
- Video minutes — source video duration multiplied by the number of output formats. A 30-second video exported to 4 formats uses 2 minutes.
- Data processed — the total amount of data your outputs run through each month.

Trial
Every new account starts with a 7-day free trial: 100 image outputs, 10 video minutes, 1 GB of data, files up to 200 MB, batches of up to 10 files, and 3 overlay presets. Custom formats are not included. The trial allowance is one-time — it does not renew weekly or monthly. It resets when you upgrade, and from then on your quota renews every month.
Image Plan
Unlimited image outputs, unlimited data, unlimited batch size, files up to 2 GB, custom formats, and unlimited overlay presets. The one thing it does not include is video — no video minutes at all. Video processing is exclusive to the Full Plan.
Full Plan
Unlimited everything, including video minutes, plus priority processing and priority support. Full Plan accounts also get the processing-history CSV export in Settings — see the Account Settings guide for how that works.
Warnings before you run out
You are never surprised by an empty quota. Three thresholds kick in as you use it:
- 50% used — a soft nudge appears suggesting an upgrade.
- 80% used — an amber warning shows you are getting close.
- 100% used — processing for that resource is blocked until the quota resets or you upgrade.
On plans with finite quota, a confirmation overlay also appears at the moments that matter — your first outputs and your last remaining ones — showing exactly how many image outputs and video minutes the batch will use before anything is deducted.
Files over the size limit
If some files in a batch exceed your plan’s per-file limit, a modal lists the oversized files and offers to continue with only the valid files — the rest of the batch is not blocked. Paid plans accept files up to 2 GB.
Trying Aspectr without an account
Signed-out visitors can process and preview 25 image outputs and 1 video minute to try the tool — but downloads require a free account. Your work survives the signup step; see the Signing In guide for how guest mode and the signup redirect work.
When quota resets
Paid-plan quotas reset monthly on your billing anchor — the day of the month your subscription renews. The quota display in the app shows a live countdown (“Resets in N days”), so you always know when the counters go back to zero. Trial quota is the exception: it is a one-time allowance that resets with upgrade.
